Best to treat Etsy the same way you would eBay I think, same with Amazon. They all have the same sellers, the differences are small, but they sell at higher prices on Etsy and Amazon. I always try to find the item I want from a Premium Seller on Ebay unless its a private sale obviously. Normally a better bet and nearly always with free P&P unless you want it the next day.
It's been all quiet on the eastern front until now. I had an e-mail from PayPal -

I have no idea what Mr Singh (who is not Mr Singh BTW) is up to.
If you haven’t got anything on order that you paid for using PayPal, I’d hazard a guess that it’s spam. 🤔 If it is genuine I still wouldn’t risk clicking on anything.
I haven't clicked on the links Toril though I am inclined to think it's a genuine e-mail from PayPal, but I have no intention putting that theory to the test. I've closed my Etsy account for the time being to cut off that line of communication with the seller.

Liv, You could ring PayPal to check whether or not they’ve sent it. I’ve rung them in the past and found their CS to be good.
I can PM you the number that I rang, assuming it still works, and if you can’t locate it online.

I'm sitting tight, doing nothing. We'll see what happens next. I no longer have a contract with the seller yet he still persists... Maybe that should be 'pesters'
Guess what Postman Neil brought me this morning? Yes, a replacement from Etsy seller Mr Whateverheiscallinghimself today. And just to make my day, PayPal e-mailed me again telling me "Your seller has let us know that they've delivered your item. We're glad, and hope that you're satisfied with it. We sent you a refund earlier of $24.00 USD for non-delivery of the item. If you're happy with the item, would you like to send back the refund?"
In a word "No." I've been to the PO and posted it back to the seller. It's worth £4.20 to shake the seller off
Feedback seemed good, but that was not a reliable indicator in my case. Hopefully I've heard the last of him. I got in touch with PayPal and told them I'd returned the item and I didn't want to hear from him again. That was a palaver in itself.
