No I am not confused. We had a contract. - I ordered ONE gold filled ring - You sent TWO silver rings that I did not order and they don't even fit. You have not fulfilled the contract so I want a refund. Send me a label and I will return your 2 rings.
Ok please wait we will refund your money in 2 days and these rings you keep it as a gift.
The moral of the story could be “don’t buy rings online.”
I’m glad you got the first issue sorted quickly tho, liv. Hopefully your next order will go more smoothly but, as you said, you’ve rolled up your sleeves and so are now armed and ready.
Thankfully, whenever I’ve ordered from Etsy I haven’t encountered any problems.

There are very few outlets selling what I would call middle bracket jewellery around these parts. There used to be a fabulous shop in Queen Street Cardiff that sold good quality gemstone silver jewellery, but he closed during the Covid years. Department stores James Howells and David Morgan used to have aisles of the stuff, but they have also gone to the wall. Boutiques over charge for base metal costume bling and High Street jewellers focus on engagement & wedding rings. Pandora & Links of London in Cardiff are overhyped and overpriced in my view. There is little choice so online is the answer and that is a mixed bag.
Amazon is trustworthy, but their presentation sucks. Drawings do not cut it for me and even though you might type in exactly what you are looking for they throw the kitchen sink at you so the search becomes tedious. Even eBay has problems. Bad photos and no details. I get fed up messaging sellers the same questions. Etsy has good photographs, sometimes short videos, but item descriptions can vary. Because many sellers claim their jewellery is handmade (and I'm not too sure about that always being the case), you have to wait. The wait is worth it if the quality is there. I've had some lovely pieces from Israel, Turkey, Greece and the US. QVC is barren in my eyes. If you want clear stone cruise jewellery fine, but they offer little else these days.
Etsy is in a lot of trouble at the moment with their sellers, mainly to do with "handmade" cons. I bought a cased Medina glass vase a couple of years ago, and it arrived with a repair that had wet glue! Full of apology, no idea how that could happen etc. I was given an immediate refund and returned vase, which was back on sale a few days later with no mention of damage. Shyster!
Both of my rings were coming from India so I'll think twice in the future. I don't want to rule the country out completely just yet because I know there are many small workshops trying to eek out a living. I visited one or two ...
