Not much to really inspire I agree but I do like watching the Christmas specials of series, particularly if its set in the 60’s as it brings back a lot of happy memories of being a little kid
For the past fortnight, there has been very little apart from repeats and old Christmas based films. Of all of the things mentioned in the article, we might watch the celeb versions of Masterchef, sewing Bee and Bakeoff and definitely The Piano. We very rarely watch films, never any soaps, nor any of the popular things like I'm a celebrity, strictly, call the midwife, repair shop, gave up after the first 2 series on all of those. We have filled the last couple of weeks with NZ Taskmaster, Aussie Ambulance, quizzes, and we signed up with Apple for a month's free trial so we can watch series 3 of Slow Horses and Welcome to Wrexham as their previous series were on our old TV system but not the current one.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

I am hoping the Miss Marple will be watchable and there is a Vera on the horizon and I’m also hoping series 2 of ‘The Traitors’ will be on. The 3rd series of ‘Slow Horses’ is very good.
There’s often very little on to watch at Christmas, barring repeats. I guess that they know that we’re a captive audience or they cater for those who are a tad inebriated or stuffed full and assume that they’ll be incapable of registering what’s on the box.
Thank goodness for Amazon Prime and a stash of DVDs that I’ve yet to watch.
With the TV licence going up to £169 ish next year 😳 it’s hardly value for money at Christmas.
