Dear Saffy brought me a present, a mouse. I investigated a noise in the dining room to find she was chasing a live one around the room, she knows she shouldn't bring them in so she immediately picked it up and ran into my bedroom with it, she usually hides in the wardrobe with them but I was too quick for her and shut it before she could! It went under the TV table and as my open handbag was next to it I had visions of it jumping into it so quickly picked it up and the damn thing RAN OVER MY FOOT (yuck) and straight into the en-suite. I shut the door to keep it in (although I expect it could have gotten under the door) once my heart stopped thumping I realised rather than call my neighbour I had to deal with it so I fetched a plastic beaker and a piece of card and used it to nudge it into a corner and then flicked it into the beaker, slapped the card on top of it and threw the mouse out of the front door. Saffy has spent the last hour searching the whole house trying to find it ! :-*

You did well to catch the little blighter DD. I miss having cats but I don't miss the little presents they used to bring....sometimes they weren't so little!
The other night I came in from dinner out with friends and when I did their dinner she wasn't really interested and I thought oho ho but as usual shut them in the kitchen/dining room for the night and when I got up in the morning it was there decapitated on the carpet !!

She is certainly a good little huntress DD. 32's cat brought a mouse in through the bedroom window and dumped it on the bed in the middle of the night. Lovely way to wake up!

Yes she is a hunter, thankfully she mostly leaves the birds alone it's mainly mice but she doesn't eat them for her it's all about the chase. She'll sit for ages staking out a hole in the lawn where their nest is, when she's on the hunt she's totally focused ignoring the rain or a call for dinner, in the summer I was out there gardening and I watched her sitting with her head down the entrance hole she looked like an Ostrich with it's head in the sand! >:D
