I do have one on my phone but I next to never use it. But then again I rarely drive to new places. If i do I prefer to write instructions down on a post it and stick it to the dash. That isn't foolproof though especially if you drive a convertible as I do. The instructions can disappear out the car with no chance of return lol.

I find mine very useful but with caution! I am the kind of person whom if I have an important meeting somewhere I have not been before will drive there before to ensure I know where it is, how long it takes and where I can park. Sometimes at big motorway roundabouts it is confusing as to which is the fifth exit etc. When I went to LS I took the wrong exit and dear Sat Nav got me into LS with no bother. Mr FP and I have yet to find a Sat Nav that doesn't attempt to take you through the local park and across a footbridge to get to our house.
Should add I also print off the AA and RAC route planners just in case.

LS??
Oh but that's put a song in my head too FP, "from LA to New York from NewYork to LA" - no idea what it's called or who by though.
Not really sure who I'd choose. I know on a TomTom, one of the choices was Sean Connery who said "you have arrived at your destination, shaken, not stirred!"
