This peanut butter icing recipe contains peanut butter, brown sugar, and cream.
Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup cream
1/4 cup peanut butter
cream, as needed
Directions
In a saucepan, mix together sugars, 1/2 cup cream. Over medium-low heat, bring to a boil with pan covered the first 3 minutes. Boil slowly over low heat without stirring, to soft ball stage, about 235°. Cool and add the peanut butter. Beat until very thick. Thin with a little cream and beat until the frosting is creamy and holds its shape.
