I think a tin from the supermarket may be the way to go for convenience lol!

I've been up here 14 years and I've still not tried pease pudding.

I've been told it's nice in a ham sandwich so I'm going to buy some of the stuff and see what all the fuss is about. It LOOKS about as appealing as sandwich spread...

I've never had pease pudding. Never appealed I must admit - once again I am with Mr M on its looks!

Having said that, I just did a quick Google (as one does) and in some pics it looks a bit like solid hummus. I like lentils in soups and stews and I love hummus so maybe I am missing out. Is it cheap? If it is I might get Mr EB to pick up a can - for me, I know he wouldn't eat it to save his life!!

If you like chickpeas or lentils (tarka dhal etc) you might like peasepud and the texture is not unlike a very thick hummus.

I always buy the Foresight brand - 40p for a 220g tin at Sainsburys.
