Bless! I think there are many cats that communicate about food!
Don't I know it! Fattyboots has really filled her boots today & is still keeping on. As wailing got her locked out of my study earlier, she tried to trip me up just now. It was the sneaky manoeuvre - dart left to right in front of moving legs. Right to left is just as good.
If Alf is on my lap or on a chair or the bed and I click my fingers and point to the floor, he gets down.
If I'm sat on the sofa and he wants feeding he gets on my lap and immediately gets off to the left (towards his food bowl). He will do that two or three times or until I get up. If I don't get up he'll wait until I do get up and then he will head to his bowl. If he does the same but goes to the right it means he wants to go out the front door.
If I'm standing up then he will "herd" me towards wherever he wants to go.
If he wants catnip he will sit in front of the cupboard it is and yodel.
I'm trying to think of other things to train him to do but can't think of anything lol.
I trained my cat, Mowgli, to sit, beg, ask and wave .............. and because I rewarded her with a tiny bit of raw mince or cooked fish she picked that trick up very quickly, much to the amusement of guests. I really must have had too much time on my hands.

Are you sure you've trained him, it sounds like he's trained you Tinks? LOL
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
