Personally, I don't much care for it, especially in cafes and restaurants. I realise the argument is that it's a natural act but so are many things that would be unacceptable in public view and on inappropriate occasions.
Mr Nell and I had a bite to eat in a cafe at lunchtime and there were two mums feeding their babies then changing nappies at the table.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
There's nothing actually wrong about breast feeding a baby in public, and it can be done discreetly without anyone really noticing.
It's an intimacy between mother and child in my opinion, and I don't personally understand the attitude of those who feel it's something to be shared with all and sundry, shows a lack of consideration. The nappy changing is totally out of order. Yuk!
If it's done discreetly, it doesn't bother me, but I certainly wouldn't want to see someone changing a cacky nappy on a table that's going to be eaten on. Bad enough having to deal with your own brats cacky nappy, without being confronted by someone elses.
I don't mind breast feeding in public but being discreet isn't that difficult. Baby Tink was a dream as he had to be bottle fed ... he was in SCBU for a month ... when he was wee and from then on he would take either. If we went out he would happily feed from the bottle.
Nappies ... ah no. For very good reason no changing nappies at the table thank you please!
