For the last two weeks these have been head to head on a Monday evening. Hi Tech, loads of money thrown at it Springwatch versus low tech badger sett made from septic tank Johnny. I think Springwatch needs to cut back on the number of shows in the week to make it more exciting. In his one Spring Episode last week we saw exactly the same creatures, such as badgers and adders, only because it was only half an hour , more animals and less chatting. Chris Packham talks and talks and talks. The Autumn/Spring Watch Franchise is getting clunky.
Johnny kingdom for me - just not a Springwatch fan any more! Liked to watch the programme when it first started. Chris Packham loves himself too much ...
Attachment Deleted Thnarly loves Springwatch on channel 981. See Exhibit A - three paws on da bed railing.
Mummy not so much - see Exhibit A - channel changed immediately, not believing 4 paws on a bed railing would end happily - for kitty, telly or FreeSatRecorder on small table in front of louvred cupboard.

On a Monday night they were - the final Johnny programne is this next Monday at 8. Springwatch finished last night - with a big fuss about a mother owl feeding one of her chicks to her other chicks to keep them going. Some viewers obviously haven't grasped the concept that Mother Nature is cruel.
I haven't seen either, but don't watch Spring/Autumn watch because I'm not keen on the presenters and it's become boring. I feel the same way about the lambing program, don't need to see it every year.
I've not heard of Johnny Kingdom, didn't see it was on.
