Tesco has a cat food bin for placing donated food. The unopened sachets went in there. It was overflowing with cat food. The dog box next to it was nowhere near half full.
That's a good idea! Cats can be so picky and it would be a waste to throw it away. Not that I have any to throw away with Alf in the house.
I'm going to sponsor a kitten at a local animal shelter. I can't adopt or take any more on but I can give money each month to help the shelter look after kittens until homes can be found. I think its a bit of a marketing ploy really as I'm sure the money will be used to help all the animals at the shelter but "adopt a kitten" is more likely to get subs than "adopt a bad tempered ol' puss that no one can get near".

Called in at my Tesco to see if I could drop the Whiskas off. Spoke to the Duty Manager who said that there wasn't anything at this store but he thought it was a good idea and he would mention it to the higher ups. Mr FP is trying to get rid of it at work now.
There happened to be an assistant right by the bins went to Tesco the other day, he thought it was a good idea as well and said he'll mention it at the next meeting. Watch this space . . .

Got another two sachets free from Pets At Home and by chance was in the local Tesco Metro this morning which I usually don't bother with as it next to our Aldi and spotted a stand for our local animal charity so I can donate these two without much hassle.
