As I was off to visit Ikea and Dunelm the next day, on the Sunday I ordered an outside lamp for my cabin online from B&Q which is close by. This was 31st May.
It wasn’t available when I called in (this was because I didn’t read the confirmation properly which said collect Tuesday, doh!). “No problem” said the lovely supervisor, buy one from the store and get an instant refund for the ordered one . . .
Finally today after many emails, the genuinely lovely supervisor phoned again, full of apologies over entering a wrong digit in the process, and head office unable to action the refund due to time span, so she has now refunded to my card over the phone. I think I’m slightly hopeful now for when I check my statement later.
And she is sending me a gift voucher for all the inconvenience, so I’ll be able to buy myself something really nice for my birthday next week – from B&Q!
That’s assuming one actually arrives of course . . . LOL
Possibly a tin of paint or some light bulbs, I do need a selection of screws for tool box . . .
Amazingly, the voucher arrived via RM yesterday, have just checked my bank account to see refund has arrived today. Who would have thought the mighty internet could be outdone by the post office! smileys-winner-035511
