A Pop Up from Smartmoneytime.com loaded itself on the iPad this morning and wouldn't let me get rid of it - I knew not to click on the OK for details button so tried to get rid of it by doing a turn off. This didn't work and I had to clear my browsing history before Safari would work without the Popup blocking everything. Just had the usual silent telephone call from scammers. In spite of the new legislation the calls keep coming. I am fed up with telephone and internet scamming and wish these idiots could be prosecuted for wasting my time.

Yes, the new legislation for telephones came into force in April 2015 Y. Due to the current number of complaints the government are apparently thinking of making all telephone marketing companies have to disclose their number and not withhold so that complaints can be made to TPS . Freezing screens caused by Popups on Apple iPhones/Pads have been around for a long time - it must be a year or so since I was last attacked and it's difficult to google the method to get rid safely when your access to the internet is blocked.

Just enjoyed myself tremendously asking a caller from a foreign country who said he was from Microsoft if his mother knew that he was scamming elderly and vulnerable people for a living. No reply. Also had 3 phone calls from 'an energy provider' ( real people , not a recording). That makes 6 since Monday morning.
