Strangely this one landed in my spam folder and not the inbox.
Well although I have had my email address for almost 6 years I'm not sure that my bank have it.
Secondly I know that of course my online banking access is not blocked.
Thirdly I know that my bank would never email me or phone either actually, they would write a letter.
This looks like a typical phish - "your account is blocked for security reason" - no, it should be "A security reason" - they usually have terrible grammar and look, there's the link where you must click so that they can steal your money.
So I question-mark the thread title but I think I'm right, aren't I?
(what I think is funny is that you can click on the link in the image because you just see an enlargement of the image)
No you won't ever catch me in a compromise From now on I will help yous will be on sell free (??) I'll never use a bank, I'd prefer to die I'll give my money away to a charity
We won't use cash, no no no no We'll let no cash soil our hands
The use of violence isn't justified If they send the army in we will send in fliers None of us should use a gun, we'd prefer to die No it's not ever right
We won't use guns, no no no no We'll let no guns soil our hands Oh no we won't
Our rulers are fools, everybody knows But some of them do use their heads, so let us take note None of us should use our head, we'd prefer to die We will find some other means to improve our lives
We won't use thought, no no no no We'll let no thought soil our hands We won't use thought, no no no no We'll let no thought soil our hands Oh no we won't
The thing that really annoys you though because it never makes any sense is all this security nonsense all the time whether it's actually at the bank or over the phone.
What's your mother's maiden name? What's the last three digits from last night's winning lottery draw? Have you got clean socks on today?
I suppose I can't mention the name of my bank here so let's just call them Nat East. No-one will guess what their real name is from that.
So I'm at the bank and they want to know all this stuff when I'm trying to pay a debit card bill or even pay some money IN!
But hacking is serious business, we know that, apparently RSB who own Nat East are preparing to pay out £20m from the latest hit.
Apart from elderly victims, I can't get my head around how some people fall for these scams considering the media publicity and genuine advice given by banks etc.
There was the solicitor in the news recently who transferred all her clients money into a new account following the instructions she was being given on the phone! Apparently the legal profession are targets because of the large sums they hold. And three people who bought motorcycles from an online company who asked them pay by direct bank transfer instead of card or Paypal. No prizes for guessing they are still without a motorcycle.
What do you think of this one then, just came in on email.
Underground Banking can make you millions
I haven't seen anything like this before...
An entirely new way to bank is exploding around the world.
It's completely independent of the government and the central banking system.
Best of all it's being run entirely by ordinary people just like you...
I call it the "underground banking system."
As you can imagine, Wall Street, the Fed and Congress are freaking out at the opportunities this is offering people.
Not only are people getting an unprecedented level of privacy and security??? many who have stuck with it had the opportunity to make as much as 5,000% on their investment.
One U.S. senator even asked if this might "replace the Swiss Bank account."
The truth is ... it could be much bigger.
You need to see this before they try to shut it down.

I had heard about solicitors getting the money lost when houses are sold by transferring it to a scammer - just accepting that the client's details have changed without a proper check. One would hope they would have to fork out the money to the house seller if they were at fault.
That's worrying you don't expect solicitors to get duped by these scams but I suppose those dealing with emails and bank transfer are probably just admin staff
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
