"And a rock feels no pain And an island never cries"
These are the major hits of Art Garfunkel, Paul Simon and the two of them together. A staple from my childhood. Adored worldwide perhaps moreso than Abba! These are great songs I grew up with. Tell us your favourites! (You can vote in the poll too).
We were only talking about them last night. I love their voices together and apart - my favourite song of theirs is The Boxer and my favourite album is Bridge Over Troubled Water, not a bad track on it, imo. Those beautiful harmonies usually only come from family members (Everly Bros, Bee Gees, Beach Boys etc).
However, I dislike the way AG claims he was responsible for all their success and that PS would be nothing without him. Arrogant barsteward.

There was the same issue with Waters in Pink Floyd. He was particularly arrogant over The Wall and for this reason I have always preferred David Gilmour.
Of course S&G were feuding for many years until Garfunkel begrudgingly agreed to perform in the famous Live In Central Park gig. Actually that turned out pretty well.
