Half way through making a pear cake when my hand mixer gave up the will to mix! Finished the cake by hand ... now in the oven cooking gently ... but I shall have to replace it. I don't want/need a KitchenAid type thing. Do they still to wee hand mixers? Or am I years out of date lol.
Don't buy online though would be my advice, Tinks. I had to replace mine last year and was surprised at how heavy some are. Great range in Dunelm Mill.
Mine was only 35 years old when it gave up the ghost - nothing ever lasts these days, does it.............
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
My Kenwood Chefette gave up the ghost after 30 odd years too! I bought a Kenwood Hand mixer with dough hooks as well as the beaters for about £15. I would love a proper Kenwood Chef but just don't have the space. The hand mixer tucks in a corner on my unit so I can reach it easily but it is out of the way and the beaters and dough thingies attach to it so it is all together.
