Bohemian Rhapsody is 40 years old apparently. I'm not a fan of QUEEN by any stretch but I do like a couple of songs and they are much-loved by the nation as a whole so, my question is, which are your favourites.
This poll has all the UK single releases (not including re-releases, remixes or collaborations).
I am allowing three choices (oooh, get her!) but you can write and say which is your go-to song, your favourite of them all.
On another forum, Now I'm here is being held aloft as some kind of masterpiece whereas I think it's drab. Glad you included Tie Your Mother Down, my favourite.
Difficult to pick only three - I love 'em all..........oh, except Radio Gaga for some reason (I think it's the 'gaga' bit!). The Prophet's Song would have been a pick had it been on the list - although I haven't a clue which one I would have left out. I chose Bo Rap, The Show Must Go On and We Are The Champions. Tomorrow I might choose slightly differently. As I said, I love 'em all (bar the one)!
Freddie's voice is amazing. Even right near the end his voice never really deserted him, although it took all his strength to maintain it I think.
As an aside, I do quite like Adam Lambert who has sung with Brian and Roger in recent times. He's not Freddie, but I think he does a darn good job with the songs.
Voted also. I was a big fan of Queen back in the day and we were lucky enough to see them play live in 1970/71 when they were still doing the college circuits in in London....LSE I think we saw them.
I love Who wants to live forever...very poignant. And being a classical music lover these days, the version in the Queen Symphony album by Tolga Kashif and the RPO is wonderful and so melodic.
