I watched this last night. Yes, there were breaches in Health & Safety & out of date foods on the shelves, issues with the speed of getting people through checkouts, but nothing ground breaking. Everyday life in any supermarket I would say.
Could be Berry McPaper-cuts. I'm not saying that some of the issues they highlighted were not important, but there was nothing I haven't seen before. At least they weren't disguising iffy lamb joints with a coating of mint which one top supermarket was filmed doing.
The problems seem to be down to lack of staff, as it is with my local Lidl. Then minimum staff are how they keep prices low? I think both have been caught out by sudden popularity, but they do need to have a rethink on how they operate. The long queues in Lidl are due to the same reason of staff being made to multi-task, basket and trolley management is virtually non-existent so it's frustrating when entering the place.
The "Best Before" coding was interesting, something I use common sense over but it would put a lot of people off buying.

All the trolleys are chained up at my Aldi and I have never ever ever seen an abandoned trolley. They are pretty good at getting staff away from shelf filling to the checkouts when things get busy at the tills.
Having worked for one of the German retailers i would say that unless they have drastically changed their working practices their rapid growth will be the end of them
Changes will of course make them pretty much the same as all the others so the prices will have to go up if they want to keep up.
