LOL, Berry McPaper-cuts, I have read the Loveday one, I got confused and meant to say Calladine and Bayliss...Doh!
Have you read/listened to the Beatrice Stubbs collection? If not, I can heartily recommend them, the character development over the series is brilliant.

I’ve listened to Boxset 1.At the moment I am re-listening to all my Karla books- I have 3 different versions of Tinker Tailor/Smiley’s People. On the Michael Jayston version having just finished Le Carré himself then will have the Simon Russell Beale R4 Dramatisation.
David Pearson’s Galway Homicides . Just started book 7 of 13. All excellent reads set in Ireland. Good characters and absorbing cases, thoroughly recommended.

Just got the new Vera. It’s confusing if you follow the TV series because it’s still Joe and Holly in the books. I am trying not to binge on it as I want it to last.
Just started book 12 of the Galway Homicides.I hope there will be more.Enough description to make me feel as if I am there and some very believable characters. Their 'Irishness' is there but not exaggerated.

Finished the Galways and was delighted to find that David Pearson has another series, 6 books so far " The Dublin Homicides ". I have downloaded them and am enjoying the new pairing. These are billed as 'slightly gritty' compared to the Galways but, apart from a couple of swear words, can't see the difference. As ever they hold the interest with the Irish locations and great storylines.

I have started number 5 of the Dublin homicides, enthralling as ever and I hope there are more from him in the pipeline. I may read the Osman books in future if they ever come down in price. The Thursday club was serialised on radio4 and was only mildly diverting but that's possibly down to their editing.

I have been a member of audio for years cassandra so I get 2 books a month and they have offers for members. I started listening to audio when driving to and from work.

I'll happily hang on to them for you Cass but they are in hardback form and fairly hefty tomes.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
That’s thoughtful of you Nellie but I fear they would be too heavy to take back. I’m sure they will become available on Bargainbooksy once the excitement dies down. Both that site and Freebooksy periodically offer book bundles by the same author . The 12 Galway’s were less than a tenner for instance but would have been over 40.00 if bought separately.
