I haven't worn a dress for many, many years but have been toying with this one on QVC's website - probably more so in the velvet version - and I was very impressed when I saw it in the flesh on a visitor of ours over Christmas. She's of a similar shape and size to me, but much shorter, and it looked fab so I thought I'd take a chance.
It is so gorgeous that I sent for the velvet one too. That arrived today and is even lovelier. Not cheap, I realise, but they are very flattering and should last indefinitely without looking too dated. Will have to buy some tights now .........
I think that dress I'm its various forms suits most everyone. I have it in the sleeveless version.
I usually wear dresses to work. Its just easy. I just bung a dress over my head and I'm out the door. Not quite that simple but it saves me thinking "what to wear" most days. And my office is boiling all year round so I don't need to wrap up warm either.
Lovely dress Nellie, really flattering shape. I could see it being worn with opaque tights and flat boots, and sheers and heels. It's the sort of dress you'll get lots of wear out of.
Baby Tink had been saying for ages that I was shrinking. So much so that one day he measured me. I was 5 6 as I always have been. That silly bugga had grown lol. He had been about 5 11 and now he's 6 foot.
