I think in most cases, they haven't had a lot of attention from humans. When Roana, now Phoebe came, her new owner spoke to her in English. It's more the calm, soothing tone of voice they respond to, rather than the actual language. 2 more now have offers of homes, Vera and Fracasso.
They'll be brought over to the UK Frazz, then through a network of volunteers, we'll be relaying them across country to their new homes. I'm hoping to be able to help soon, as there's another girl, Jenny coming and I've said she can stay overnight with us, then I'll get her to the port for her new owner to collect her and get her home to the Isle of Wight.
All the paperwork done, passports at the ready, vaccinations up to date, recoveries from neutering complete, transport organised, they'll be starting their journey to their new homes in the morning.
In the end we collectively raised over £17,000!
A few have been adopted in Italy, 3 will be dropped off in Holland first, then the rest will come to the UK and their fantastic new homes.
Every time I click on this thread my very easily derailed personal juke box in my brain starts me off singing 1973 by James Blunt. A part of the chorus is "here we go again" if you're wondering what the hell I'm on about.
Good news though. Hope they all have very happy forever homes.
