I suddenly realise one of the cats was patting a little wren about on the floor! I tried to catch it and it flew into the kitchen. Quickly shut the inner door and opened the back door and it flew out. As I took my soup out of the microwave I heard a little shuffling noise and there sitting on the bananas was a fledgling!
I tried to cup it but it flew onto my head. I slowly walked down the garden and stuck my head in a tree and it jumped off lol! Hope they find each other.
The odd thing is the cats were indoors, I think maybe the fledgling came in through the kitchen window and mum followed, very strange.
We had a lovely little wren make a nest in one of our big pots, 3 eggs all hatched, then one morning I found them dead on the path. I suspect a 4 legged furry feline had done the dastardly deed.
Did you think you were having an Alfred Hitchcock moment Frazz? Could have been worse - a seagull for example. He could have whipped your dinner from you right there, in front of your eyes as well as giving you the heebie jeebies
OMG, no I didn't. Where are my bloody glasses? I never even noticed I had typed that. Obviously you are the only person to read my post or maybe they thought I am losing my mind.
I found a dead CROW on the kitchen floor. Courtesy of Scratchy the cat. Itchy and Scratchy were our cats Mr M, sadly departed now.
