Alf is in a bit of a bad way. He's somehow hurt his front left paw. I can feel a graze on his shoulder and although he will let me touch and feel his paw, he's feeling sorry for himself. I don't think anything is broken or dislocated. He can walk and jump, but has a limp. He's had dinner and a fishy treat. Now he's just curled up on the router. Hoping he's a little better in the morning. If he's not then he's off to the vet in the morning.
Fall I think as I can't find any other cuts or bruises and he is prone to hurting his paws. He's a heavy cat with short legs so climbing and jumping isn't his forte.
He seems happier now than he was earlier. He's more alert and wanting a cuddle. Trouble with Alf is, well and Harve too, they're not aggressive in any way so the fact he will let me touch his paw with just a bit of a miaow in protest is all I would expect no matter how painful it was.
I'll see how he is in the morning. If he's no better than we're definitely off to the vet. If he's improved I'll probably then get him checked over on Tuesday. If he's seen tomorrow it'll be as an emergency and I think that comes with a fairly hefty call out charge as its a bank holiday.
Alf is much brighter. More his normal happy self. When I got up this morning he was ready for breakfast. Did his normal routine of nipping out the front whilst I wash the bowls, then came back in to eat his breakfast and finish Harvey's. He seems a bit stiff but the limp is less marked and he has just let me touch his shoulder without complaining. He's now sat on a box in front of the heating vent warming his bum. His normal "finish" to his breakfast routine.
More than anything I'm happier as he's more interested in food and more interested in his surrounding. I may yet take him to the vet but for now he seems to have improved.
He's a bone idle cat really so I'm really letting him be bone idle to his heart's content today. He reacts when I walk in the room or speak to him though whereas yesterday he just wanted to sleep. Just told him I was heading out to Sains and I got a meow in reply lol. That's normal for Alf lol.
