Before we all get excited, Liverpool were forced to play their youth team (although Villa didn't put out a full strength team either) as they play again tomorrow night in the curious Club World Cup match in Qatar. Klopp clearly decided tomorrow was more important, so it was literally Villa vs a bunch of teenagers. Ans apparently, against the scoreline, they played well. Ridiculous scheduling by the EFL though, the final of the English cup match is early in the season, so why not hold it back a few weeks rather than force teams into this situation in an already congested part of the year?
Moodyson got us a free Amazon Prime trial, so we got to see the match. The picture quality was diabolical, but that's not the issue. Leicester were woeful, Liverpool were unstoppable. It will take an unholy balls-up now for them to throw away the title.
I'm taking solace in the fact we were beaten by the European Champions and the Club World Cup winners, I just hope the Brendon touch comes back as the current slump began against Norwich who we should have slaughtered.
FFS, I have three Leicester players in my Fantasy Team - two are on the bench today, the other - Vardy - has been granted a day off as Rebekkah has dropped their latest sprog. This is quite an important match Brendan, we must beat West Ham.
