Brighton v Villa 2pm KO Liverpool v Spurs 4.30pm KO
Difficult to know who to support today. Brighton obvs, in the bid to get Villa out of the Champions League, but Spurs need to help here too. And that means disloyalty to The Scousers.
Anyway I'm out late tonight so there probably won't be any match reports. Or tomorrow, or even the day after.
Fantastic results, the Seagulls crushed Villa but sadly Spurs didn't help the cause by being shite at Liverpool so the Villans inexplicably still remain in the Champions League place. The Scousers can't really progress much further than third, barring complete capitulation by Arsenal and Man City, so typically produced a classic performance today. Meanwhile Klopp and Salah appear to have kissed and made up after last week's touchline tiff.
Europa Conference League of the Dismal Semi Final 2nd Leg
Olympiakos v Villa
Agg 4-2 so far, we'd like the Greeks to score early to make it conclusive. Villa were appalling in the first leg which was amusing, let's hope for more of that please. I can't find a team list but I think the cheating shyster Martinez is back after suspension which is annoying.
Also worth noting Billy Boy was in attendance for the first leg, but obviously left Kate at home taking photos with the kids. Who then were the two blondes caught sniffing around in the royal box?
Bloody brilliant! The Greeks were fantastic and defended like their lives depended on it, while popping a couple in for good measure. Villa were hopeless and as England's last European ambassadors this season can hang their sorry heads in shame. There's an annoying chance Villa will be playing Champions League football next season, though how coming 4th in a league can make a champion is beyond me, but whatever, it will be entertaining to see them fall against proper European teams.
Dick looks on dejectedly as Douggie Luiz seeks solace in a dose of spice.
At least we got there, Bruv, where were your crummy lot?
We were playing in the proper Europa League just a few seasons ago, and of course the Champions League in 2016. The Europa Conference is a tawdry collection of n'er do wells and not worth bothering with.
Don't forget West Ham won the Europa Conference League last season and look where Moyes is now. Dick will be shown the door next year if things don't improve for Villa.
