I've set up a Twitter account. NOT because I'm interested in following a lot of Slebs, but it's an effective tool for complaining and getting freebies (puke) .
The Coglet arrived yesterday, and noticed that he'd missed a deal because he hadn't seen the tweets about Hyatt hotels. They've gone to Paris for a couple of days, and apparently, if you tweeted on Friday, they were offering an upgrade and freebies. So he tweeted that he was disappointed that he'd missed the offer, and when they checked in, they were upgraded to a better room, had a bottle of champagne, chocolates and fruit in their room. Can't be bad eh?
Last year BA lost his case on a flight from Heathrow to Manchester, which had his clothes in for the wedding he was going to. They basically couldn't care less, until he tweeted about it. Then they couldn't do enough to get it to him a.s.a.p. The power of social media.
I don't see the point of following people Lena, I'm just not interested, but for instant action when there's a problem, it's useful, and that's all I'll be using it for. Can't be bothered detailing the minutiae of my life, not that there's anything of interest anyway. (puke)

Just remember the more people who follow you, the more visible to the world your comments will be and, to some degree, the more seriously your complaint could be taken.
I don't usually use it to complain but it is brilliant at breaking news. Far faster than the beeb.
I am on Twitter.. I have been for a few years now. I stopped 'tweeting' then Mr Barrowman joined it and I've been following him from the get go. big grin
