This is the first time I've been away and left the boys (cats) alone. Baby Tink has either been living here or has moved back in for the duration. As with all cats they can be left alone as long as they're fed regularly which Baby Tink was doing with my cleaner and Baby Tink's dad as back up.
Harvey has been elusive and has gone a day or two without being seen but that's actually not that unusual. Unlike most cats he is not ruled by his stomach and prefers the on tap dried food to the wet food provided twice a day.
Even so I was grateful to find him asleep in the lounge when I got up this morning having arrived home at about 2am. Well I was until about 40 minutes later when he had had his breakfast and then decided that if he couldn't see me that it was best to yell at the top of his lungs until I appeared. Sadly this went on most of the morning and the daft bugga didn't quite perfect the art of coming to look for me rather than vice versa until about midday. He's been much better this afternoon and this evening but he was curled up on one of the patio chairs and every now and then he yells. I yell back and he settles for about 15 minutes then he yells again. And believe me that cat can get some volume going.
The only time he isn't yelling is when he's on my lap as he is now. Its bliss on the old ears.
My neighbour says he's been yelling on and off whilst I've been away but it hasn't been constant like it has today.
Alfie is a tart really. Although he was clearly pleased to see me, any cuddle will do but with Harvey its me or no one. That's my boy!
Lovely thank you. Had to work on and off but that's not unusual for me. A few slight blips on the dizzy front. Really, as at home, mainly when very tired. Only big issue was swimming and being in the pool. Made me very panicky the first day and I couldn't conquer swimming, or floating , on my back at all.
The villa was gorgeous and we did have a relaxing time but Cyprus doesn't capture my heart the way Turkey does. And tourism is very slow there this year, as it was last. Cyprus is also very inconsistent on pricing. A meal in a small taverna is £18 or less. At a decent restaurant on the beach you could pay £45 for the same.
We are relaxed, happy and brown as wee hazelnuts lol
