I bought quite a few things from Lidl this Christmas, and I'm happy to report they were all belters.
Vintage Christmas Pud £9.99 - packed full of fruit and nuts, beautifully decorated with oranges and cherries, lovely texture, just enough booze without being overpowering, big hit in the Cog household.
Creme brûlée truffles - I don't even like truffles, and these were delicious, the box didn't last long.
Roastes in goose fat - cooked up lovely and crisp.
Parsnips on orange glaze - lovely big parsnips, really tasty.
Prosecco - we think it was Lidl, the best we've tried, even our friends commented, will definitely be buying more.
Greek mezze platter £4.99 - lovely selection, big plump olives, feta, stuffed vine leaves, stuffed fiery peppers, really good buy.
I look forward to shopping at Lidl's more often in the future. Currently, there is only a tiny store within easy reach of us but it's not near a car park so I only ever get my handwash there.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Lidl is our nearest supermarket so is the easiest for me to go to. I think I have only ever had one thing we didn't like (their fresh meatballs, for some reason they were yuk), other than that everything has been ok and some things really nice - food or otherwise!
I go most Saturday mornings for their half price specials! Ours has a bakery which has some lovely things and is very cheap - not that I can eat the darn stuff but everyone else loves it!

We like their bakery too. We usually get one of the big bloomers and a couple of paninis. The bloomer does not last long here, the two boys are big eaters, especially 25 who is a real gannet!
One of Lidl's 'specials' this week was stretch skinny jeans. Of course when we went in today there were no size 12 left. They were really nice and I almost live in skinny jeans so obviously I 'needed' another pair.
