If you are looking for a Christmas pressie for someone who likes to slob about sit up and read in bed, I can thoroughly recommend this. I bought the dusty grape colour and it is gorgeous - so silky soft and warm but very lightweight.
I know it's advertised as a cardi but I find a bedjacket invaluable and nice ones are very difficult to find these days.
Bedjacket is such an old fashioned term - conjures up images of Hattie Jaques on her Matron's ward rounds - but I can't be the only person still using one (can I?).
I distinctly remember my mother knitting herself a new one especially to take to the maternity hospital when she was having my brother almost 60 years ago
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
You use to be able to find some really pretty ones years ago, I don't sit up in bed to read or anything so don't need one. I find a long-sleeved night dress is fine for me in the winter, if I'm not well I put a fleece on over the top. I look really glamorous lol!
I would wear that at home whatever the time of day. I really like it. I have something similar in more of a standard fleece material in grey. Wear it loads. Will wait to see if that comes back into stock.
The one I have just discarded came from Bon Marche about 18 years ago and was looking a bit threadbare but I hadn't found a decent replacement. I hadn't thought of using a fleece until I saw this!
