I don't know how much people here watch the various Discovery channels, but as of Feb 1st they will no longer be broadcast on Sky. Unless differences are resolved at the 11th hour.
What I hadn't appreciated was that Eurosport was part of the Discovery family. I am gutted about that. I recently cancelled Sky Sports, mainly because of the cost, but was ok with that as I still had Eurosport. I watch their channels a lot because of all the winter sports, tennis and cycling to name but a few!
I know! Twelve of them! A scrolling announcement appeared at the top of the screen with a notice that Sky & Discovery were parting company. Sky has decided not to renew its contract on the terms offered by Discovery. No more 'Mountain Monsters' www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/sky-viewers-lose-12-channels-9693860
Eurosport's player is on special offer at the moment (wonder why? ) - £19.99 instead of £59.99. That's for a whole year! Firstborn has taken pity on his poor old mother and bought her a year's subscription. What a lovely son! Unlike with Sky Q I can watch on my tablet and Kindle as well as pc and phone so that is me sorted for a year. Even if they resolve their differences it will still be good to have it.

Good lad EarlyBird ! I have The Sky App on my iPad and will miss those channels when I am upstairs watching because Sport is on the main telly. I am going to Binge on some The First 48 Season 19's before Feb 1st.
