Such sad news as it was through Daisy Trail and the amazing Craft Artist software that I became a crafter. It's been obvious for a while that Serif was running it down . Really need to back up all my amazing digikits and fortunately I have a CD rom with CA2 on it. Such a terrible shame! Digikits are being discounted so might have a last shop on the site. It's crashed at the moment as everyone has probably tried to get on it after getting their email.
I just saw the email and came on here to make sure you knew! My CA2 was digital but I have a disc for the original - but presumably Serif isn't a problem? I'm going to go and have a look - there are a couple of kits I have had my eye on. I wonder what will happen to the digikits from other designers as it says 'in-house' ones are being discounted.
Although I don't think I use them as much as you do it is still a real shame.

Yes EB I was a Daisyholic for a while! The programme was very good at showing me what a good card/ project looked like as I came with nothing to crafting except a lot of years trying to make classrooms look exciting for the children and trying to show their work off as well as possible. It's been a good grounding for moving on to other skills but the ability to export the embellishments etc into Silhouette and cut out etc is something I don't want to lose. I digitally created Nellie and Frazz's cards and exported them as pictures and that again is such a good way of sharing cards, scrap pages etc. I finally managed to get onto the site and most people seem to feel that they were stringing us along for the last year - taking people's money knowing it was not sustainable. I haven't bought much recently , just when they gave us a money off code. Fingers crossed Mucosoft don't do something so that you can't run your CA2 any more.
I managed to get on quite quickly but there wasn't much I wanted really - most things I liked the look of I already had! I mostly use them to create my own backing papers as I never do digital crafting as such. Occasionally I will print out an embellishment or two but always to cut out and stick on a card! That said, the kits have been well used for those purposes.
CA2 is a very good graphics program so I hope there are no problems with that. I use it for a lot of things - including converting to or from pdfs or jpgs.

Managed to take screen shots of all I have ever ordered with them so I can do an audit and download anything that got lost when my laptop suffered the black screen of death last year. You can access the older ones again by the looks of things. Added a couple of digikits to my wish list. Laptop is copying my pack files on to a memory stick - looks like a long do though as only 28% copied so far.
I have an external hard drive so I am going to back up all my digikits and CA2 to it. I have had this laptop nearly 3 years which is usually when they start to go doolally. I am not taking any chances in case there is no warning of its impending demise!

Went through the list of digikits I have bought directly from DT and all present and correct and copied onto a memory stick too. Can't decide whether to buy some of the ones in the £1 sale or is it chucking good money after bad?
Once you've got them you can use them forever presumably - I'm sure I have used some with other graphics progs. I bought 5 of the DT ones and then realised some of the others were quite heavily discounted too. I might have bought a couple more.

Just been for a final look through the digikits before the final day! I am going to have to get two more I'm afraid. I just have to have the Victoria Nelson one 'Cocktails In The City' to make FP Major's birthday card.
