I have said before about the cream and so on we froze last Christmas - well, we've been at it again!! Not quite as cheap as last year as they don't actually run out till tomorrow, but we will have another look then. We have just frozen large tubs of Brandy Sauce (53p), Brandy Extra Thick Cream (40p), Roast Chicken Gravy (40p), small trays of cream cheese appetisers (26p) and small rounds of Cheddar with Whisky (22p). Plus, I got some gluten free Christmas puddings for £1 which are good till August! That's a few desserts sorted for me!!
We have a fridge/freezer in the kitchen, with a moderate freezer capacity - bought mainly so it raised the fridge up to make it easier for me, but it is very useful to have. We also have a full size (upright) freezer in the garage that acts as a 'feeder' for the indoor one! Plenty of space for Tesco reduced items!
Things like Brandy cream and sauce you can usually only get at Christmas, but it's nice to have them anytime. Brandy sauce is good on things like pineapple upside down cake, especially as I hate custard.
I went to Tesco's today and the Brandy Butter, Brandy Cream and Brandy Sauce were all reduced to 9p I don't like brandy so didn't bother buying any. Did you see their frozen turkey joints were half price EB? The large one's were down to £5 and the smaller one's were only £2.50, my freezer's pretty full at the moment but I got two of the smaller one's which are an ideal size for when the family visit, bargain
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
