Was it you who suggested an on line seller for pashminas? It was ages ago and possibly one or more forums back. I bought a poke your eye out fuchsia one and I'd like to find the website again.
Any clues gratefully received. Any recommendations for where to buy also gratefully received. Looking for fairly lightweight options.
I'm not sure if it was me Tinks, but I have bought some from a Chinese seller on eBay, which I was pleased with. TJC also have some lovely big scarves, which are pashmina sized, in all sorts of fabrics and patterns.
I've just checked and they are on eBay, Tinks, but not around at the moment. Back Jan 9, I think it said.
Pashmina Paradise is the name of the seller - I assume it must be the same as the Amazon one. I have quite a few and have always been very happy with them. Lovely wraps, beautiful colours, great service and everything is nicely packed.
Thanks Nellie! I love my scarves too and I prefer the bigger, Pashmina type to ordinary narrow ones.
I have a gorgeous bright shocking pink one that my sister sent me when she lived in Dubai. It's a proper one, iykwim (composition wise is cashmere) and was a steal compared to the prices here. I am happy with acrylic though as long as it goes round my neck!
I have only ever bought the "pretend" pashminas from this seller - can't tell you what they are made of as they are now packed away - but I like the texture, weight and feel of them.
I hope you won't be disappointed if you order from them - I never have been.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
I think there's a place (and a weather) for pashminas in all fabrics and weights. I love the full on ones but have bought them at airports etc over the years or asked for them as gifts so I have them in all the colours I want ... black, caramel, grey and pink. But they are so expensive that I can't possibly go for them I'm every colour I might want and sometimes I want something lighter.
Nowt wrong with a bit of acrylic. But most of those I looked at had a viscose content too so you will get warmth and softness. Blumming ideal.
I've recently been making good use of the pashmina that my son brought back from Kerala last winter. In fact he gave us one each in a mix of colours in a Paisley pattern. I just checked the label and it just says 100% Pashmina, but likely to be a mix of different fibres. So warm and lightweight, it's lovely to wear.
