Things your cat can do that you didn't know..

Clever creatures, aren't they!

My parents had some friends with a Siamese cat and a Dobermann. The dog was pretty placid and daft but the cat was cunning and somehow encouraged the dog to open an old fashioned fridge door by the handle so they could get inside to ransack the food.

Clever boy! Harvey can open internal doors but he uses brute strength. He just throws himself physically at the door until he rattles the bloody thing so much the catch opens. He can also get through a locked cat flap. Again using brute force. Does the job but he's more brawn than brain. He's a perfectly intelligent creature. And he does know that door handles work doors. I've seen him fiddling with them a few times but I think he thinks why puzzle me head when shouldering the door already works.

Poor Boots I hope he's soon back to his usual self, I prescribe lots and treats from his mummy

It's funny reading the stories about your cats. :D

I don't have any funny stories...I do have a question though if anybody is wise to it.

Do female cats fight?

I was in the mind that it's just male cats. Only because I've only ever seen males that I know fight.

Reason why I ask is my cat Pudding, she is female. Now Pudding is a scardey cat when it comes to visitors to the house of the human kind. She will slink past them and slink upstairs and hide under the duvet of my bed until they are gone.

But if she sees a cat when she goes outside, she will either chase it off out of 'her' garden or she will do the stand off, arched back and make the growling sound like she's going to fight with them. You know the one where they move in slow motion.
