As it's been almost three weeks since I sent the ring back with no word I emailed TJC yesterday, I didn't really expect a reply so was pleasantly surprised when they answered this morning saying they can repair it but as its not a quality issue it will cost £15 to do it so I've told them to go ahead. I just wonder how long before they'd have contacted me if i hadn't emailed them?

Their CS can be hit and miss. I've recently had to send 2 things back, the first one I had to chase and chase for the refund, the second was refunded the day after they received it back. Glad you're getting it sorted.
It was a sad day when Miles left TJC such a nice man and a great asset, if he'd still been there I'd have rung him direct and have little doubt that it would have been sorted out and returned within days and probably free of charge too!

In the days when they resized rings I think they were done here as they weren't away very long. A few years ago I sent one of their rings to Makermends to resize and as I was keeping it took the tag off which must be on it for a refund, MM wouldn't size it so I returned it with a covering letter, the lovely Miles rang me to see what size I wanted it as their own technicians would be braver than MM"s when I told him he went off to speak to one of them so I think they do them here
