As a fan of Jo Malone perfumes, but not their prices, I've been looking at alternatives as I'm not keen on most of today's obviously manufactured, chemically scented perfumes. I found Shay and Blue online but noted that QVC are selling some of the range.
With the 30 mbg in mind, I ordered a selection of 5 x 10 ml bottles for £37.45 + P&P. It arrived this morning and the couple I have tried are delicious. 10 ml is actually a generous size and thinking ahead to Christmas, I thought I'd order another and split them up. All sold out.
Here it is on the Shay and Blue website at a considerably higher price.
"Headache inducing fly killer" is how I would describe the way these scents developed over the course of a day - not a patch on Jo Malone. What was I thinking!
*Only got round to returning them last Monday and I received an e-mail from Q yesterday telling me I'd had the money refunded. That must be a record.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Seeing as the brand was a TSV last week I nipped along to M&S with my great niece riding shotgun to do some sniffing. Strong fragrances! I quite liked 'Dandelion' & my great niece, spraying the stuff around like fly killer, got some on the cuff of my coat. It's got staying power I'll give it that. Still a Jo Malone fan even though that doesn't hang around.

I’ll stick with Jo after your reviews of Shay and Blue Nellie and Liv, although if it does kill flies it might be a useful addition to my holiday suitcase.
I'm definitely still a Jo Malone fan but I do like Jane Packer perfume I'm wearing today. Introduced to it by Nellie. Sadly it's no longer available so I have to keep my eye on eBay. Red Roses, Black Violet and Cyclamen. It's lovely.
I remember those Tinks - they were packaged like test tubes in a rather smart box.
I'm enormously disappointed in the last Jo Malone reed diffuser I got with birthday money - no smell at all - wish I'd bought perfume instead. Still, I found that Aldi have their smell-alike stock control in hand and I had no trouble getting some the other day. Am trying their Pomegranate as well as the Lime, Basil and Tangerine.

Which one did you buy Nellie? I've never had a Jo Malone Reed diffuser. Only the candles.
I bought Reed diffusers from M&S and they were really strong. I used one and haven't opened the other! I've got a Sains one at the minute which smells like Yankee Clean Cotton. Nice but quite subtle.
Lime, Basil and Mandarin (not Tangerine as above!), Tinks. It used to be lovely and the smell would linger for about 8 months but not any more. I was interested to read on the Jo Malone Facebook page that I'm not the only person to think that.
They are extortionately expensive and I've never spent my own money on them - have either received them as gifts or used a gift token - but never again.
I always used to use the Ginger and Lemongrass reed diffuser from the Linea range in House of Fraser, always bought at half price in the sales, and the beauty of those is that you can get a large refill for about £6. Anyway, I'm hoping the Aldi ones will be nice for £3.99.
