The daps! Daps with that dress. They do nothing for her legs.
Didn't see it but it seems to be a "thing" now. A few years ago, it seemed to be the fashion to team dresses with heavy ankle boots which looked really odd at first, now it seems almost normal.
I was amazed at the amount of women at the wedding who wore trainers/daps/plimsolls with their floaty dresses and hats! What's that all about ?
Call me old-fashioned but, if comfort was the object, why not a pair of soft ballet pumps or similar instead of looking as if they were about to line up at the starting post!
(Having said that, there were an awful lot of horsey types called Camilla or Lucinda. )
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
