Looks like there may be some hope for England in the next few years?
All we have is hope Frazz, but as long as these young talents are nurtured rather than being cast aside in favour of foreign names by English clubs, who knows how far they could progress?
Phil Foden, the lad who won the Player of the Tournament is in the Man City squad (youth I presume), and Pep Guardiola had these words of encouragement...
"What position did he play? When I find out, I will put him in that position."
The Spaniard added: "He is a young player. He is a player in our squad. Every day he is in the locker room with our guys. That is the best way to learn, from the experienced guys, about what it means to be at a high level.
It would a very good idea to see the young talent actually in premier teams. All these foreign players make a mockery of things. Goes to prove in my mind the game is totally about making money from fans and their families. It's a shame.
