I recall this being mentioned in Mim's Broadchurch thread and was wondering if anyone else watched it on Thursday night?
I quite enjoyed the opening episode though we do seem to have lost the young Sergeant. Dwayne had some good lines, especially after he was obliged to go chasing after a 'perp'. Also a bit more humorous interaction with the Chief Inspector which worked well. There were a few other actors whose faces I recognised but couldn't recall what else I've seen them in....except for the Eastenders guy.
FP, this was the tall older guy who worked at the distillery and who guarded the dilapidated store area zealously. I also recognised the younger guy who turned out to be the killer...can't recall where from though!
I watched it and thought it was pretty good. I'm new to it though. I really only watched it for the first time at Christmas. I definitely prefer the original actor in the lead role. And its a shame we've lost the young policeman.
I think it seemed familiar to me because the plots are getting too similar. I suppose there are only so many crimes that can take place on a tiny island involving distillers/hoteliers/dotcom millionaires/yacht and bar owners/jetski hire entrepreneurs and smuggling - often with a touch of voodoo.
I do like Don Warrington though.......
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
I don't watch Holby Nellie, so he may have been in it. Would have been helpful if there was a cast list on the BBC website.
D W, the Commissioner played a bigger role in this episode and it was very good. Then at the end they brought in a replacement for young Sergeant Best.....a woman. We'll see what Dwayne makes of that!
I've only seen the first series so far. I'm waiting for series 2 to turn up on Alibi. I did wonder about watching the new series, but I think I would rather do it chronologically if I can!
