It's probably my ex-brother-in-law, Frazz.

He is a builder, his surname is Clark and, for some reason, male Clarks are known as "Nobby" - which he abbreviates to "Nob" whilst not quite understanding the irony. Fortunately, only one of his three sons has inherited this nickname.

A number of possible explanations exist for the use of Nobby as a nickname for people with the surname Clark. These include: Clerks in the City of London used to wear Nobby hats, a type of bowler hat.

I'm just as bad Liv, I've got 4 vintage terracotta bears in the garden that I didn't have last week. They were so lovely and I couldn't "bear" the thought of someone buying and splitting them up. It was a close thing on the bidding though!
