We are hoping Boris is OK. A large commotion whilst we were watching ‘The Pass’ sounded like the back gate being opened and the dustbins knocked over. Mr FP opened the back door to check and a large Alsatian charged into the kitchen , through the dining room into the lounge. It shoved its face onto my knee then was driven through the front door by Mr FP. He had caught a glimpse of Boris trying to get away through the back garden. We haven’t seen Boris since. Hoping he is laying low and is unhurt and hasn’t run too far from home.
Bloody hell Berry McPaper-cuts, hope Boris is OK, and you and Mr FP too, that must have been quite frightening for all of you.
How did the gate open? Maybe it wasn't properly closed and the dog took chase on seeing Boris? And where was the dog's owner in all of this?
I'm not a fan of big dogs, any dogs for that matter. I was attacked once riding my bike as a kid by an Alsatian and I've never trusted one since, although a friend of ours had a huge one who was soft as sh*t once he got to know you. I still kept it at arms length.

There is a very narrow opening between next door and the gate which we thought was too narrow for a large dog to squeeze through - the dog next door has been known to come through but he is tiny , Boris only just makes it. Mr FP has been out looking for him but to no avail.

The three women who were walking the dog were on our road calling for it to come to them.As it is open country behind us there are a lot of dog walkers but not usually not in control of their dog.
