My app is showing a yellow warning for heavy rain tomorrow until 11:59 on Friday. It’s definitely not going to be as cold as 3C or -1C though. That’s just as well because my heating is not going on until I can see my breath in the lounge.
It’s currently 13C here at the moment, so positively balmy, 😉
Boiler has been serviced this morning, might be needed evenings this weekend. Will miss this Indian summer, but it's the longest time ever in autumn I have gone before needing the heating.
Our heating has been off & on this month as temperatures dictate. I don't believe in suffering
I read in one of the newspapers that we are in for a very wet time. The Met Office has issued a "major 27-HOUR rain warning over huge swathe of UK." Then a cold snap. "A Polar Plume" they are calling it or alternatively a 'thundersnow' risk. Got to admire their descriptions.
It's quite pretty, Lily. It's when the Sun goes a bit bonkers and lets off plumes of electro-magnetic energy.
This in turn makes the Earth get extremely hot, angering some people like Greta Thunberg and David "Mr Jolly" Attenborough who don't like it and think we're all going to die.
In Wales though, the effect is completely different...
