This probably won’t interest the majority, but you never know. 😉
Having long hair, which I wear loose in bed, I found that when brushing it first thing in the morning there was hair in the brush because it had developed tangles during the night.
So last week I bought a silk pillowcase (in black to go with the black headboard and dark bedding 😉) and so far there’s been absolutely no hair in the brush in the mornings. My hair also feels smooth and silky when I wake up.
Silk pillowcases are also supposed to help to reduce “sleep lines” in the morning, but I haven’t looked closely enough to see if that’s the case with me.
Silk is usually very pricey but, having read the reviews, I got this from Amazon and it was £20.

Yes, I have had some for a year or two and have also got a silk turban thingy. Women used to wear silk hairnets last century and we have all seen the bedcaps in dramas from the 18th and 19th centuries on television but no idea where the idea came from. Men have nets for the moustaches, well Poirot did.
I have used a silk pillowcase for around 20 years and never get hairs on my pillow as I used to. I stock up on mine in TKMaxx when we are in U.K. and have bought them from ebay, too.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
