I was cuddled up under my throw watching TV. Left to put the kettle on, was not even 2 minutes and this is what greeted me on my return. How do they manage to look as if they have been asleep for hours...
Effie is staying for Xmas, wish she'd sleep happily with Millie. Millie has found a box while Effie is lording it on the back of the sofa. Terrible fight late last night, both sent to separate quarters.

Very sweet cassandra. Our two share quarters at the cattery and sleep in the conservatory if both in at night but they would not cuddle up like that. They will follow each other so Boris took possession of the top of the decorations box which was on the dining room table after he saw Katya there earlier.

They do this don't they? Last time Effie visited, she decided to inspect the kitchen work surfaces, something Millie has never done without being told off. Effie was duly turfed off, and so Millie decides it's now OK for her to give it another try as I found her asleep on a tea towel one morning.
Ashley, the grey cat bottom right, is totally shameless and loves to snuggle so he happily sits on top of any of the others or sneaks up while they are asleep and 'spoons' them, he is hilarious. He seems to assume that he is always welcome. We have never had a cat with such a sunny disposition. I did manage to wrestle my blanket back so they all piled on top of Sam on the settee..furry hot-water bottles.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
I loved that picture of all the cats piled on top of Sam.
I can't tolerate the cats getting on the kitchen surfaces. I found a plant spray and a quick of jet of water cures the problem, in fact it cures most things with cats apart from chewing cables
