Unfortunately she's not alone it happens on all the main channels but I think ITV are worst, they've gotten to the point that I very rarely watch. More and more in the last few years instead of reporting unbiased news we're being subjected to the reporters own opinions with rolling eyes, sighing, shrugging, tone of voice etc I want to watch the news and come to my own conclusions not be exposed to his or her personal thoughts on the topic. It seemed to start with one or two people and I guess when they weren't repremanded then spread to others and IMO is very unprofessional
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
I remember when a news reporter read the news. Sadly those days are gone. It was really brought home to me when I watched the Depp vs Heard trial live from the Virginia courtroom. Transmission would start at 2 our time and I was ready & waiting. I could not believe how the court proceedings were reported on the news channels and even worse, how the printed media reported it. It was shockingly biased or downright inaccurate.
I hope that Mary Nightingale works for ITV, she's just been on the news telling us it's too warm for the time of year. She needs to keep her opinions to herself.
The BBC are in for more criticism. Apparently in last week’s SCD dance off, Fleur East fell but was allowed to start again. She then got voted through. The BBC kept that quiet. A bit of a fix, in my opinion, because I doubt anyone else would have been given that chance.
Bit of a random statement there, Toril . Why do you think no-one else would have had the chance to start again?
Just because some contestants seem to be favoured in the earlier rounds. If it happens during the Dancing on Ice dance offs they continue and get marked appropriately.
Fleur was better than James in the live round, but they should be judged on what they do in the dance off, not be given a second chance. The fact that the BBC have said nothing about it also seems odd.
That’s just my opinion although no doubt, once again, I’m in the minority.

The reason being given was she fell off the chair while faffing before starting the dance so therefore had not started. How they thought that could be kept quiet is unbelievable. Off to look at what the danceaholics on DS are saying. Bet there is a poll.
Some time later… Seems to be total agreement that the only thing wrong is the way the Beeb handled it.
On Digital Spy they said that she fell off the chair “ in an unaired performance from Sunday night”.
I thought the dance offs were done on Saturday evening, after the show aired live, which is how the results are leaked before the show on Sunday, so she can’t have fallen on Sunday night on that logic. 🤔
No wonder I don’t want to pay my tv licence towards the BBC. I’ll retire to the Land of Confusion. 😳
They're still trying to maintain the pretence of the "live" Sunday results show - how tragic when we all know full well that isn't the truth. I hadn't realised that Fleur was being favoured by the judges but I certainly didn't think James was the worst dancer.
A 10-part podcast about Shamima Begum in which she tells her story of how she joined ISIS and about life in a refugee camp has been released by the BBC.
