David Lean had one of those turntable drives at his house in the very aptly named Narrow Street in Limehouse, East London. A friend of ours worked on it as a newly qualified civil engineer in his first job with Ove Arup.

True Frazz, though I sometimes wonder why people reverse into a space in a supermarket car park & then struggle to get to the boot with their trolley bashing wing mirrors on the way.
Yes agree, I normally drive into a space, much easier. You have to be careful reversing out but it's not the same as onto a main thoroughfare. One of my neighbours is always complaining about his neighbours hedge being too high for him to see when he's reversing out (which it is). I bite my lip as he is a very good neighbour, but I'm dying to tell him!
