Concerts everywhere Toril House sparrows in the eaves above my window. They start as soon as the first rays appear; Wagtails nesting in the ivy. I've got to avoid going outside while they dicker about sorting out their egg sitting timetable; pigeon fly past mid morning with all systems go re bowel evacuation; ^^ ditto seagulls; crows and magpies thugging it out at all times; ducks screaming over the fence for bread. But the real nuisance is the blackbird named Johnny after Jack Nicholson's character in 'The Shining.' A complete headcase. He tries to come in through the patio doors.
Where's Ruby? I hear you ask. Over the other side of the stream mousing.
Very much so Liv, mum has made another nest where they were last year. I'm guessing there may well be hoglets now as she was very rotund in the last video. There is also another pair seen in my garden, next door have made a gap under the fence, so they come and go. It's lovely.

I didn't see any in our garden last year, nor so far this year
Last year and was the first time here for a good few years, it's sad because they are so enchanting. Next door puts plenty of food out for them, and at least three stayed in their den over winter.
We have swallows nesting in the garage and Magpies, galore. The Magpies get into loads of disputes and love tormenting the cats by landing in the field next to the house. There they strut, perfectly well aware that they are being stalked. At the last moment, they take off and swing on the telephone wires, killing thmselves laughing. They are wonderful mimics, their favourite impressions being cats miaowing, lorries reversing and mobile ringtones
We also have many Doves and an owl which sits on our gatepost.
Nearer to earth we have tortoises, rats, voles, lizards, mice, skinks, and various horrid flappy insects...
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
