The Range & Pets@Home. Oz has to have half a tablet every day, but getting him to swallow it is difficult. On wet food days it's easy, but dry food days ... 33 used to give it with a bit of Primula, but he's a crafty little so-and-so. He sucks off the cheese spread and spits out the tablet. Dairy is not good for cats. I bought a liver paste from eBay, described as a dog & cat training paste. He'll only eat it if he sees Ruby eating it & she goes AWOL for hours at I time so it not always around. Pets@Home had nothing so I tried The Range. I found a salmon cat & dog paste and just tried offering it to him. He'll have nothing to do with it. Then I had a thought prompted by another thread about comfort food. Next time I go food shopping I'm going to buy some Princes sandwich paste & give that a shot.
We crush tablets to a powder then either quickly puff the powder into back of throat with a plastic syringe or suck the powder into the bottom of a straw then insert into side of cat’s mouth and quickly blow powder down throat, as before.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

My Matalan bags and I visited the tip this morning loaded up with the pyrex cooking ware, pottery casserole dishes, old glass microwave plates and plastic foodboxes surplus to requirements. The pyrex and pottery had to go in with the rubble . The tip guy said to me ,“Isn’t it fabulous when you hear the sound of it going into the skip”. It absolutely was!
Mowgli was diagnosed as being diabetic when she was 8 years old and so had to have half a tablet every morning. She never spat it out because I used to hide it in a small ball of raw mince which she loved. In fact she’d be waiting by the fridge in the morning.
When Gromit needed medication it was in liquid form and so I gave it to him in a small syringe. I was really lucky because he’d open his mouth to take it. That was just as well because I would have been ripped to smithereens with his claws if he’d struggled. 😳
I hope your idea of Princes sandwich paste does the trick, Liv. 🤞
It was the trial of giving cats tablets that made me decide not to have anymore when Boots died. It's hard enough when there is two of you. I know some dogs won't take them, but for the majority the tablet is gone in seconds if you tuck it inside a lump of chicken, works with Freddie lol! His three monthly worm/flea tablet is large and suppose to be edible. He won't eat that, but crushed and mixed in with his food works.
Freddie has to be kept on a low fat gastrointestinal diet now. He wasn't keen to start with, so I add a spoonful of boiled chicken and he licks the bowl clean. It's been several days without him having an episode, so I'm hopeful the corner has finally turned poor little chap, and he has played with his toys again this week.
Forgot to add this for Liv, it worked some of time with the cats

Unfortunately this brand specifically states not to crush them. They are moderately better than the brand he had before which had to be given an hour before food. He nagged me to death because he knew what was coming next
