We are still British, we have British passports. We had no vote for 15 years until it was reinstated recently.
In Greece, we have temporary residency. Sam's residency permit is for 10 years, mine has to be renewed every 5 years as I don't work here so am a hanger-on.
Citizenship is extremely difficult to obtain, the exams need an almost perfect mastery of the language as well as a knowledge of all sorts of obscure facts -many of which our Greek friends have never heard of.
We can vote in European elections but not Greek ones.
