Yes. I had an appointment with the optician. I last went three years ago. It was not straightforward either. I mentioned that I've been having sinus headaches since Himself brought a cold home in March and that was like waving a flag. I've got to go back next week and if the headaches are still current they have to be investigated The good news is my sight is the same as last time and the time before that so no new specs needed. I quite fancied a new pair of specs.
Did you tell them it was Yak Sinusitis?
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Yes & No lily The second part of the eye test detected nothing wrong with my sight. She is concerned that I have some symptoms of Temporal Arteritis & decided to refer me to my GP. That was Thursday and I'm waiting to hear from the surgery.
I had to look it up as well. To be honest, I’d be ringing the doctor to see if the optician has made a referral to the doctor. If she hasn’t then you can at least inform your doctor what she said.
Once they’ve confirmed that the doctor knows, then keep on at them until it’s sorted.
I’m off out soon for the monthly PPG meeting at our doctors’ surgery. They’re always pretty good because we get “insider” knowledge about the surgery and how they’re coping post-Covid.
They’re also currently looking for a new secretary because the previous one has retired from the position.
(I’m not volunteering or accepting a nomination because I have other things that take up my time, without typing out more reports. 😉)
I think optician Hannah is being super cautious. She works in a hospital as well as our local opticians and they're like that Hannah was going to contact my GP on Thursday, but maybe that didn't go to plan. If I haven't heard by the end of the day tomorrow I'll get on to it.
